Subject: LotusScript SOAP Request add an authentication header
Feedback Type: Problem
Product Area: Domino Designer on Eclipse (DDE)
Technical Area: Application Development
Platform: Windows
Release: 8.5.3
Reproducible: Always

I have a process where I am using SOAP to reach out to a web service and get returned values. I have imported WSDL (that was sent to me) into a LotusScript Web Consumer in my application design. I have built the LotusScript library/code to interact with the Web Consumer.

Everything is working fine with this setup. However, I have been informed that there is now authentication (ID and password) needed to be passed in this SOAP request. The WSDL will not change, so I need somehow to create these SOAP headers that include the authentication ID and Password.

I am not sure how to get a handle on the SOAP request before it is sent to the Web Consumer or before it is sent to the service so I can manipulate/add the headers.

I found a few links, but not sure how to implement these or if this is the way to go:

http://www.nsftools.com/stubby/SOAPHeaders.htm

http://enerosweb.wordpress.com/2010/07/28/lotusdomino-8-5-webservice-provider-manipulating-soap-header/

It seems like I will need to rebuild this in Java, but I am hoping to avoid this since I am under a time crunch.

What needs to be done:
1. Call to Web Consumer
2. In Web Consumer, somehow add the new authentication headers to the SOAP request before it is sent to the service
3. Send the SOAP request

Any solutions/code/examples that might help me out?

Thanks!
Dan
